The Little Cat and the Ball of Yarn
One sunny day, a little cat named Whiskers was playing in the garden. She saw a ball of yarn lying on the ground. Whiskers loved to play with yarn, so she picked it up and started to bat it around.
Whiskers batted the yarn back and forth across the lawn. She chased it under the bushes, around the trees, and over the flowerbeds. She was having so much fun that she didn’t notice the time going by.
Pretty soon, Whiskers was tired. She lay down on the grass and rested her head on the yarn. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
When Whiskers woke up, the yarn was gone. She looked around, but she couldn’t find it anywhere. Whiskers was sad. She loved that yarn.
Just then, Whiskers heard a noise. She looked up and saw a bird sitting in a tree. The bird was holding the yarn in its beak.
The bird flew down to Whiskers and dropped the yarn at her feet. Whiskers was so happy. She thanked the bird and started to play with the yarn again.
Whiskers played with the yarn for a long time. She was so happy that she forgot all about being sad.
At the end of the day, Whiskers was tired again. She lay down on the grass and rested her head on the yarn. She closed her eyes and fell asleep.
When Whiskers woke up, the sun was setting. She knew it was time to go inside. Whiskers picked up the yarn and took it back to the house.
Whiskers was so grateful to the bird for returning her yarn. She knew that she would never forget the bird’s kindness.
